Weekly Roundup

2.22.2016

Last week was a lot of the same schedule-preschool, dance, Team Kid, yoga and core class with friends, etc.  However, this past Friday, the kids and I headed to the Children's Museum in Oak Ridge with some friends.  The kids had so much fun going from room to room.  Their favorite was the "space room" and "water room".  Then we headed over to a pizza place nearby.  It was good!  Not quite Sparta's, but still yummy.  Saturday we ran some errands and ended up at Steak and Shake for dinner because kids eat free!  Love finding places that do this.  I'm going to have to look into more in the area!

This morning I went to a new group a gal told me about.  It's called "Just Moved".  Gals who just moved to the area are invited.  We discuss how we're feeling moving to a new area - challenges, etc.  On our way to the group, Madelyn said she misses her friends from Seattle.  She was pretty sad all morning.  If you can, try to say a little prayer for her today.   I told her we can facetime or skype our friends soon.

Weekend Wrap Up

2.15.2016

I haven't posted in a couple weeks...sorry about that!  Things are going well with us.  We've been busy as I'm sure everyone is these days.  I signed the kids up for teeball!  They don't start until the end of March, but it should be a fun.  A friend from church is going to be team mom with me and share the responsibilities.  Her husband is coaching the team.  I'll be sure and post pics and video :)

This weekend, we hung up a few more pictures, went to a birthday party and visited a nursing home close to church to hand out valentine's.  Yesterday morning a friend from Nashville that we've gotten to know, Tanya Godsey, came to our church to share some of her music.  We met her while she was up in Seattle doing a few concerts.  She is one of the nicest people I've met and has such a kind heart.  Tanya was suppose to do music for a big chili cookoff Salem has every year, but due to incoming snow, we had to postpone.  So she did music in the morning along with some of our vocalists.  She's planning to come back next Sunday night.

So we spent Valentine's Day night hanging out with our kiddos and eating chili I made for the cook off.  Fun night with my loves!

Tim's 33

2.02.2016

Today is this guy's 33rd bday.....

He got spoiled at work with cupcakes at staff meeting and lunch with Pastor Allen and Pastor Trey....

Then came home and we went to the Sunsphere in downtown Knoxville by UT.  The kids have a book called "A to Z in East Tennessee" and it talks about the Sunsphere  They were so excited to go see it!

After our visit to the Sunsphere, we went down to Market Square to eat dinner.  It's an area of town with cute shops and normally a fountain that runs during summer.  We ended up eating at "The Tomato Head".  It was really yummy.

To end off the night, we came home and had some ice cream cake.  The kids decorated the cake and loved it (as you can tell :)!!
