4th of July

We had a fun 4th of July this year!  Started off the morning with breakfast together then headed to the $1 movie at Regal to see "Sing".  A new favorite of ours.  We own it, but enjoyed seeing it on the big screen again with some popcorn.

Lake Day

The Sunday before 4th of July, we headed to the lake after church with some friends.  Started out the day with a time of worship then a churchwide BBQ after.  The weather didn't look too promising, but thought we'd try to head out anyway.  Ended up being a beautiful day.  Love being out on the lake with friends!

Georgia - Mimi & Papa's Anniversary

After our trip to Myrtle Beach, we drove down to Georgia to catch up with Tim's family to celebrate his parent's 45th anniversary.  It was fun seeing everyone and catching up!  I'll post some more pictures from the photographer soon.  But for now...here are a few from our visit.
(and heads up...links to more new blog posts at the very bottom)

Myrtle Beach Vacation

After VBS, we headed off for a short family vacation to Myrtle Beach!  Thank you John and Joan for letting us stay at your condo.  We had a fun time!  While there, we spent some time at the beach, pool's and Broadway at the Beach.

One of Theo's favorite's was building sandcastles and burying Madelyn

Daddy Daughter Dance

Tim and Madelyn went to the daddy daughter dance put on by Chick-fil-a a couple weeks ago.  It was a "Masquerade" so of course she had to wear her butterfly Halloween costume.  They both had so much fun!  MJ came home telling me all about the good time she had.  They ate some chicken nuggets, pictures in the photo booth, crafts, more snacks and dessert and won a dance off!!  I'll have to see if I can record their award winning dance moves.

Started summer off right with VBS at Salem!  The theme this year was Galactic Starveyors.  We had a neighbor friend, Baylee, join us each day.  Then we'd hang out after at the pool or somewhere fun!  I worked registration again and Tim was in charge of the worship rally along with taking videos.  Let me just tell ya...registration is no easy task.  Lots of things to do!  It went well and the kids had such a good time.

Theo's 5 Year Old Party

We had a few friends over the day before Theo's birthday to celebrate him!  He absolutely loved it.  They played outside on the trampoline, with chalk and whatever other toys they could find.  Betty made his cake which was AMAZING as usual.  He wanted a doggie cake and she definitely came through.  Tasted good too!  Thank you so much to everyone who came out.

Theo's Birthday!

A few pictures from Theo's birthday.  Started out with some birthday balloons and cinnamon roll!  Then we headed to Krispy Kreme for a donut celebration (yes, more sugar!!).  Madelyn had a good report card again (all the praise hands!) so he wanted to go celebrate her accomplishments on his birthday.  Such a sweet boy.  He loves his sister so much.

Theodore: 5 Years Old

Dear little boy,

You are FIVE years old! A whole hand!! You have been so excited about your birthday this year.  Counting down the days.  We love to see your excitement!!

This year has been a rough one for you, behaviorally.  Still learning boundaries and that mom and dad's no means no.  But you are slowly getting better.  Praying for patience all around.

You will do absolutely anything for your sister.  We LOVE seeing this kiddo.
We love you so much bubba and are proud of you!

You weigh 34 lbs and are 40.75 in tall

Currently in size 5t tops and 4t pants.  Size 11/12 shoes (same size as sis!).

Your favorite foods are cheese, cheese and did I say, cheese?  Also anything sweet, veggie straws, chicken nuggets, waffle fries and fruit.  Still a pretty picky eater.
Going to sleep at night around 7pm.  You'll occasionally nap in afternoon.

Some of your favorite activities are preschool, swimming, bike riding, soccer, jumping on the trampoline, eating, playing with your sister, coloring and cutting paper, and playing with friends.

You just completed preschool young 4 class and will go to Pre-K next year at the same school.  You had a great year and are excited about the fall!

Taking soccer this spring/summer season with a practice once a week then a game each Saturday.

You're looking forward to some fun summer activities - VBS, the beach, visiting family, spray parks, Mrs. Robin's pool and movies!

Love you buddy!

Spring Dance Recital

Madelyn's dance recital was this past weekend in ballet and tap.  She loves performing!  Had a smile plastered on and loved every minute of it.  Especially getting a little makeup on her face beforehand!

Kindergarten Award's Day

Madelyn had such a fantastic Kindergarten year!  We loved her teacher and student teacher so much.  Praying she gets a good one next year in 1ST GRADE, so big.

showing us her book of activities she's done throughout the year

MJ earned the "spree" award for always finishing her work then helping others

Mother's Day

Such a special Mother's Day this year.  The church had a Mother's Day Brunch the Saturday morning before Mother's Day.  I was privileged to sing with my baby girl and Tim with his assistant Theo on guitar.  Our friend, Wes, played the cajon with us.  So so special for me to sing with Madelyn.  Her love for God is evident and just praying for that moment she lets Him into her life.  Here are a couple songs and pictures from that morning:

Easter 2017

I know Easter was last week, but better late than never, right?

Happy Easter!  We had a great Easter weekend celebrating Christ's resurrection.  Started off with our Maundy Thursday service remembering Christ's death on the cross.  That morning, I went to Madelyn's school to eat lunch with her.  As I was about to leave, her teacher caught me.  She told me Madelyn has been telling all her classmates about Easter and why we should celebrate.  That she goes into detail about Him dying on the cross for us and raising from the dead 3 days later.  If any of the kids ever bring up Easter or anything having to do with Christianity or church, then Madelyn's teacher directs the kid to Madelyn and she talks to the student.  Her teacher can't say anything about it in school, but my girl sure can and it makes Tim and me so proud.

Friday, Madelyn and I went with our friends Nova and Abbie to get our nails done.  She wanted to use some of her birthday money to get pampered.  I'm okay with that!

Saturday morning, we had a choir rehearsal then sang at a nursing home close to the church.  The kids were able to come with us to the nursing home then they had lunch for friends and family along with an egg hunt.  A fun day!

Sunday, Tim headed out before dawn for the sunrise service, then the kids and I headed out about an hour later for the other services.  After church we went to our friends house for lunch and another egg hunt.
