Christmas!

12.26.2009

Merry Christmas!  Tim and I stayed home in Seattle again this year.  We had a fun day spending time with each other and our pups.  Today we're running some errands and spending some time at Starbucks.

Daisy

12.16.2009

We've added a new member to our family..her name is Daisy.

A friend of ours was trying to find a new home for Daisy and we decided to take her in.  She's the same breed as Sadie and a little over 3 months old.  Daisy and Sadie go crazy playing with each other.  Daisy is so adorable.

Thanksgiving

12.03.2009

This year, we spent Thanksgiving at home in Seattle.  We missed all our family, but were able to chat with them on the phone.  Our friends, the Arriaga's, from church came over and spent the day with us.  All the food turned out really well and the day was so relaxing.  While they were here, Rico took some family pictures of us.  He did such a good job!

Seattle Sounders FC

11.05.2009

Tim had a chance to attend 2 Seattle Sounders games last week.  He loves soccer so he was pretty pumped.  If you don't already know, the Sounders is our soccer team in Seattle.  This is their first season and everybody up in Seattle is into soccer so the games are always packed!

The first game was the Sounders last regular season game and they won!  The second game was the Sounders first playoff game with Houston.  They tied this one.  I didn't know you could tie in soccer...that's kinda crazy to me.  They'll play Houston again this Sunday and whoever wins advances.  Go Sounders!

Halloween

11.02.2009

For Halloween this year, Tim and I went with our friends Rico, Michelle and their 2 kids, Rico and Reyna to downtown Edmonds.  There were TONS of kiddos there.  Rico and Reyna were so cute dressed up as Batman and a princess.  They had a good time trick-or-treating.

Drum-Off

10.02.2009

Last night, Tim participated in a drum-off at Guitar Center in Lynnwood.  This is where drummers around the area show their stuff by playing a 3 minute solo.  Tim did such an awesome job!  Unfortunately, he didn't advance to the finals...I thought he should have...might be a little biased.  However, he had so much fun playing (and practicing for it).

Val and Amy

9.22.2009

Last weekend, Tim's sisters Valerie and Amy stopped by for a visit on their way back from an Alaskan cruise.  We had such a fun time with them.  Saturday we went down to the Puyallup Fair which they all remember when they lived in Puyallup many years ago.  I just love roller coasters and fair food so I was up for it!

Katy and Mitch's Big Day!

8.25.2009

We traveled down to Arkansas a couple weeks ago to see family and be there for Katy and Mitch's wedding.  They were married on Saturday, August 15th.  The wedding was beautiful.  Congrats to the newlyweds; we love you both!

Softball

8.10.2009

This summer, I decided to play softball with our women's team at church.  It was a lot of fun getting to know some other ladies from the church.  Families and friends would come out every Wednesday to support our team.

Vancouver

8.03.2009

Tim and I ventured up to Vancouver BC last month for a quick trip.  It took a little longer getting there than we thought, but it was a fun ride.  And what do you know, there happened to be a Sonic on our way.  I was a very happy camper!

While in Vancouver, we were able to explore the downtown area a bit.  We saw Stanley Park, Granville Island (like Pike Place, but nicer) and Canada Place.  We also went up to Grouse Mountain which is in North Vancouver.  It had a beautiful view of the city as well as grizzly bears!

Trip to Puyallup

7.01.2009

Megan and I took a trip down to Puyallup to see where I used to live.  Megan had other motives as well...Puyallup now has a Sonic!  And it turns out it is right across the street from my old Elementary school!  Small world...happy day for us.

Megan's Folks

6.22.2009

Megan's parents spent the week with us in Seattle.  We had a great visit...ate lots of good food...did lots of yard work...and enjoyed a Mariner's game.  I still didn't catch my home run, but some day!

Mariners Parties

6.09.2009

Megan and I have enjoyed hosting Mariner's parties at our house.  We just get together with those in their 20's and 30's range from our church.  We watch the game on tv, eat snacks and just hang out.  There doesn't seem to be enough at our church for those in this age group, so here ya go!  Even when the Mariner's lose, rock band is still a hit!

Eternal Noise

5.10.2009

Our youth group has been hosting events called "Coffee House Praise".  These have been fun fellowship events with live music, free coffee and lots of good fellowship.  It has been fun to see a wide variety of ages and families come enjoy these nights.

We have a band at our church called Eternal Noise.  Megan is the lead singer for the group and Tim is playing the drums.  We're having a great time with this group.  Here is a picture from this month's coffee house praise.

Please be praying for our church this week as we prepare for our Easter program.  We're really looking forward to it and are praying it will be an evangelistic weekend!

Chris Tomlin

3.15.2009

Man, it's been awhile since we've updated this thing!  Sorry about that.  Things are going well for us...staying busy...but going well.  We had a great opportunity last week to go see Chris Tomlin and Israel Houghton in concert.  It was a GREAT, very worshipful night.
