Cubbies & Superheroes

10.18.2014

A couple weeks ago, Awana started at our church.  Kids can start this when they're 3 years old which means Madelyn was able to start this fall.  She loves it!  I do too.  We've been completing her workbook every week.  This includes a story, bible verse to memorize, games, snacks and a few other activities.  There's also a Cubbies song to which she has every word memorized.  We've listened to the CD about a bazillion times.
Theo's able to start next year which means he's in the nursery this year.  Wednesday nights get a little late for him so he's been kind of cranky when I drop him off, but he'll get used to it.  I'm also able to join choir again...which I've missed.

I've also started MOPS twice a month.  This is when moms of kids ages 0-5 get together and discuss issues, eat food, drink coffee, chat, do activities, encourage each other...and there's childcare!  The kids are in separate classes and do activities as well.  Both kids have really enjoyed it and come out with some sort of cute craft.  I didn't know anybody going into it, but am getting to know some really sweet moms from the area.

Madelyn's preschool went to the pumpkin patch last week.  She loved it!  We took a "train" as she called it down to pick out their pumpkins.  She was smiling and giggling the whole time.  Then they saw some pig and duck races, went through a hay maze and ate some ice cream.  Little boy stayed with Grandma Izzy and Grandpa Tom.  I'm sure he loved his one on one time with them!

The kids' new favorite activities are wrestling and playing superheroes.  They'll giggle and giggle as they chase each other around the house.

Our church has a guy candidating for our Senior Pastor position this weekend.  Please be in prayer for our church and his family as we seek God's direction!
