My friend, Brandy, came up to visit last weekend.  It was so much fun to have her around.  Before Tim and I moved up to Seattle, Brandy and I had coffee every Saturday at Panera.  We've both missed it a lot.  So of course, her first day here, we went to Panera.  Since we had Theo with us, we went to our new drive thru Panera...which as I've mentioned before, I love.  Our church is looking for a new student director so I was in and out during the weekend meeting up with he, his wife and some of the church staff.  I'm glad Brandy understood this and helped my mom take take care of the kids while Tim and I were gone.  She made us yummy pizza Friday night and helped me to just chill out and stay off my feet.  I can always think of something else to do around the house, but she encouraged me to sit down and watch one of my favorite movies, Anne of Green Gables (the whole series!), while she and my mom took care of everything. So, that's what we did Saturday.  Sunday morning was our first time at church with Theo.  Then Brandy and I spent the afternoon at Panera sans kiddos, after that I headed to church and they went to the park to swing.  It was sad to see her go on Monday.  I'm hoping we can meet up soon.

Theo's Arrival!

Theo arrived early Saturday morning, on his due date!  My contractions started while at work on Friday afternoon.  I didn't really think anything of it because the day before my doctor was thinking he wouldn't be here for another week.  But the contractions kept getting stronger so I went home from work and ate some dinner.  We went ahead and called "Grandma" Izzy to come over and get MJ and took the dogs to their babysitter's house.  We got up to the hospital at about 7:30pm.  They admitted me at around 10pm once contractions started getting closer together.  I got my epidural around 11pm (PTL!)  With Madelyn I didn't get my epidural in time so it didn't really do any good.  This time around, it actually worked!!  This was a much different experience than with Madelyn!  Theodore Joseph came at 2:33am weighing in at 6 lbs. 14 oz. and 19.5 in. long.  Our little blessing.

We came home late Sunday morning and settled in.  The dogs came back on Sunday evening and Madelyn came back last night.  I sure did miss that girl!!  My mom came in yesterday afternoon.  It'll be nice having her help!  My best friend, Brandy, flies in next Wednesday.  Very excited about seeing her!  Then it's nonstop family for the next month and a half.

Things have been going well so far.  Theo was eating 1.5 ounces every 4 hours, but wasn't getting full so we're changing it to 1.5 ounces every 3-3.5.  He's been doing okay at night; still getting used to a new place.  He'll get used to his new home =).

So happy our little buddy is here.  Tim and I were wondering how our hearts could expand anymore after having Madelyn, BUT they sure have.  We love him.
